Oroville Civil Service Monday, December 22, 2014 Meeting called to order at 4:30 pm by Chairman Richard Werner. Present: Commissioners Richard Werner, Mike Sibley and Joe King Others present: Lindsey Acord. Approval of the minutes from the November 24, 2014 regular meeting. Motion by Mike to approve the minutes as written, second by Joe; motion carried. No scheduled appearances. Corporal Exam still set for January 7th. Oral board only, 1pm at City Hall. No candidates filled the open entry level position. Motion by Joe to reschedule another entry level exam set for March 7th, second by Mike; motion carried. First ad will run January 10th, 2015. Lindsey ordered a DVD sample of a different entry level exam, to be viewed by commission in an executive session, special meeting, Monday, January 5 th at 4pm. Motion to switch tests will be made immediately following meeting. As requested by Chief Hill, a temporary officer position was granted, motion by Richard, second by Mike; motion carried. Mike moved to amend rule on the physical agility portion of the exam. If physical is passed, but written is not, physical score will remain valid for 90 days, or with the Chief Examiner approval, second by Joe; motion carried. As there being no further business, motion by Mike to adjourn the meeting at 5:03 pm, second by Richard; motion carried.
