Oroville Planning Commission Monday, September 17, 2018 The meeting was called to order at 4:30 by Luis Perez. Commissioners Present: Arnie Marchand, Sue Edick, and Luis Perez Absent: Suzie Seger, Valorie Johnston, and Alternate Paul Neir Staff present: Deanna Rowton and Christian Johnson Arnie made a motion to approve the minutes. It was seconded by Sue and the motion passed. We reviewed the Transportation / Circulation Plan in regards to was discussed at the August meeting and the changes / additions that were made at that time. Central Avenue was discussed. It was noted that traffic calming features should be explored. Added to the Transportation Plan are sections regarding “Air Transport” which includes information about the Dorothy Scott Airport. It was noted that additional information can also be found at the Washington State DOT website: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/aviation/AllStateAirports/Oroville_DorothyScott.htm Also, “Rail Transport” was added to the Transportation Plan. There was discussion regarding Right of Way widths, excess widths, and the need to review the possibility of returning the excess back to the owners. We briefly looked at the Park Plan and Christian asked the members to look over and review the plan before our next meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 5:25. The next meeting will be October 15th. 1
