Oroville Planning Commission Monday, September 20, 2021 Meeting was held in the City Council Chambers The meeting was called to order at 4:32 by Suzi Seger. Commissioners Present: Suze Seger, Heather Marthaller Alternate Jeff Bunnell Absent: Arnie Marchand, Luis Perez, Valorie Johnson Staff present: Kurt Danison, Emily Finsen, Cindy Boyer Suzi called for any corrections to the July 2021 meeting’s minutes, and hearing none, approved the minutes for the July 19, 2021 meeting. Finsen introduced Cindy Boyer to the Commission as the new Commission Secretary. First on the agenda was to review the Introduction and Land Use Inventory of the Comprehensive Plan. Kurt shared with the Commission his findings and edits along with previous update recommendations that the Commission made. After discussion about the updated sections, the three Commissioners present accepted the changes. Planner Dansion was provided with maps the Commission and previous staff had prepared to accompany the draft Comprehensive Plan. He stated that with the draft maps he would be able to prepare a new Land Use Designation Map for the Commission to review prior to the next meeting. Under new business discussion, Kurt shared that in the upcoming months the Shoreline Master Program will need to be completed and updated and finally submitted to the Department of Ecology for review and approval. The next meeting agenda was then set to include continued review of the Land Use Element and Maps, and updates. The meeting was adjourned at 5:05. Next meeting will be October 18, 2021.
