Oroville Civil Service Monday July 28, 2025 Meeting called to order at 4:30 pm by Chairman Joe King. Present: Commissioners Joe King, Mike Sibley, and Dusti Giroux Secretary, Chief Examiner: Emily Finsen Others present: N/A Absent: N/A Approval of the June 23, 2025 meeting minutes. Motion by Dusti to approve the minutes, second by Mike, motion passed. Finsen shared with the council that a conditional offer of employment has been given to Lateral Officer Michael Kim by Chief Hirst, it has been accepted, and his employment will start on August 16, 2025. Finsen then shared that Chief Hirst is requesting an established eligibility list due to the last one being exhausted. A publication will be sent out for applications to create the eligibility list with the due date of September 19th, 2025 and Oral Boards to be conducted on October 3rd, 2025. The Commission agreed and made a motion to start the process. Next Regular Civil Service meeting scheduled to be held Monday, August 25, 2025. As there being no further business, motion by Mike to adjourn the meeting at 4:48pm, second by Dusti; motion carried.
