Oroville Civil Service Monday August 25, 2025 Meeting called to order at 4:30 pm by Chairman Joe King. Present: Commissioners Joe King, Mike Sibley, and Dusti Giroux Secretary, Chief Examiner: Emily Finsen Others present: N/A Absent: N/A Approval of the July 28, 2025 meeting minutes. Motion by Mike to approve the minutes, second by Dusti, motion passed. Finsen shared with the commission that Michael Kim has been hired as of 8/18/2025 for the Sergeant’s position. Following that a letter of resignation from Officer Wessale was presented; her last working day will be September 30, 2025. The Commission reviewed a submitted application for the Oral Boards scheduled for Friday, October 3rd, 2025; the application was approved. Next Regular Civil Service meeting scheduled to be held Monday, September 22, 2025. As there being no further business, motion by Dusti to adjourn the meeting at 4:55pm, second by Mike; motion carried.
