PROCEEDINGS OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Finance Committee of the Village of Oxford, Marquette County, Wisconsin met on
Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in the Council Room of the Oxford Village Hall, 129 S. Franklin
Avenue.
The meeting was called to order by President and Committee Chair Meyer at 5:00 PM.
The following Committee Members were present: Public Safety Chair Sorensen, Park & Rec
Chair Drinkwater, and Public Works Chair O’Brien. Also in attendance were Carrie Rozek,
Clerk-Treasurer McMullin, and Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Maier.
Motion made by Sorensen/Drinkwater to approve the agenda as printed. Motion
carried.
The WMCA (Wisconsin Municipal Clerk’s Association) will be having conferences and
district meetings in the upcoming months that would be a great resource for the new Deputy
Clerk-Treasurers to attend and learn a wealth of information. Discussion was held regarding this
topic, with Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Maier stating she will look in to the dates and topics and
report back to the board at the May 1, 2024, meeting. Motion to approve by Sorensen/O’Brien
for Deputy Clerk-Treasurers Kongslie and Maier to attend these seminars pending importance of
topics and classes available. Motion carried.
Public Safety Chair Sorensen suggested that he and Park & Rec Chair Drinkwater be
approved to assist the Deputy Clerk-Treasurers with any training in the future that they may
require and possible travel and training to area small towns to observe their operations of the
Clerk’s Offices. Both Chairman have been Clerks in the past and can be a great resource for
training or help as needed. As head of the Finance Committee, Chairman Meyer will approve
these expenditures as they occur .
No Closed Session was held at this meeting. Discussion pertaining to the progression of
new Deputy-Clerks’ training, and final employment date of current Clerk-Treasurer McMullin.
Motion to adjourn by Drinkwater/Sorensen at 6:11 p.m. Motion carried.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Finance Committee of the Village
of Oxford will meet on Thursday, April 9, 2024 at 5:00 PM in the Council
Room of the Oxford Village Hall, 129 S. Franklin Avenue. A quorum of the
Village Board may be present.
AGENDA
1. Call to Order
2. Review and Approval of Agenda
3. Review and approve training and mileage reimbursements to Deputy
Clerk-Treasurer’s Kongslie and Maier for Wisconsin Municipal Clerk’s
Association classes.
4. Authorize Trustees Sorensen and Drinkwater, both of whom have
been clerks, to assist with training and possible travel to area small
towns (such as Neshkoro) to observe operations of Clerks office.
5. A closed session is proposed to discuss employment, promotion,
compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee
over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises
responsibility per Wis. Stat. § 19.85 (1)(c).
