Park & Recreation Committee

PROCEEDINGS OF THE PARK & RECREATION COMMITTEE The Park & Recreation Committee of the Village of Oxford, Marquette County, Wisconsin met on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in the Council Room of the Oxford Village Hall. Chairperson Loretta Drinkwater called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM with Committee Members Erwin Meyer, Carrie Rozek, and Ruth Holden in attendance. Motion made by Meyer/Rozek to approve the agenda as printed. Motion carried. An update was provided on the remaining funds of the 2021 Park Improvement Project. The amount left over and transferred into reserve after the project last year was $17,305.29. So far this year, $9,775.50 has been spent on additional playground equipment. The remaining $7,529.79 will be left in reserve for future use. The Park & Recreation Budget for 2023 was discussed and prepared for presentation to the Finance Committee. Motion made by Meyer/Holden to forward the Park & Recreation Budget as recommended to the Finance Committee. Motion carried. Village President Meyer commended Park and Recreation Chairperson Drinkwater and the other Committee members for a job well done on a successful improvement project of the village park.
