Palmyra Police & Fire Commission Minutes Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 Palmyra Village Hall 6:00 P.M. The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Chairman Dooley. Roll call: Stefanczyk, Bealhen, Dooley, Simmons – All Present Guests – Director Paul Blount Motion by Bealhen – second by Simmons to approve the minutes from 12/4/25 Roll call – Bealhen, Dooley, Stefanczyk & Simmons all ayes, motion carried. Business: Discuss Police and Fire, & EMS personnel issues and candidates. Motion by Dooley second by Simmons to convene into closed session at 6:07PM with staff, pursuant to §19.85(1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Specifically updates on Public Safety Department personnel matters. Roll call – Bealhen, Stefanczyk, Simmons & Dooley all ayes, motion carried. Motion by Bealhen - second by Simmons to reconvene to open session at 7:59 PM Roll call – Bealhen, Stefanczyk, Simmons & Dooley all ayes, motion carried. Outcome of business conducted in closed session: The commission decided to table the issue regarding the personnel review of the Interim Police Chief until further notice. AGENDA Police and Fire Commission meeting Tuesday January 27, 2026 100 W. Taft St. Palmyra Village Hall meeting room 6:00 p.m. Call to Order Roll Call Business 1. Approval of Minutes: Dec. 4, 2025 2. Update from Public Safety Director Paul Blount 3. You are hereby notified that the Police & Fire Commission of the Village of Palmyra will meet on Jan. 27, 2026, at the Palmyra Village Hall meeting room, 100 W. Taft St. at 6:00 p.m. At said time and place the Commission will convene into closed session. 4. After the meeting has been properly convened, the Chairperson will announce to all those present the purpose of the meeting and the fact that the Commission intends to convene in closed session for the above-delineated purposes. Upon motion duly made and seconded and acted upon by the majority of the members present as required under §19.85(1)(a), Stats., the closed session will take place. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Police & Fire Commission of the Village of Palmyra may convene, upon passage of the proper motion, into Closed Session with staff, pursuant to §19.85(1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Specifically, a personnel review of the interim Police Chief AND 19.85(1)(f) Considering financial, medical, social or personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons, preliminary consideration of specific personnel problems or the investigation of charges against specific persons except where par. (b) applies which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems or investigations. The Commission will then reconvene into Open Session for purposes of potential additional discussion and/or action on matters discussed in closed session and adjournment. 5.
