MEETING MINUTES Combined Police and Fire Commission AND Village Board meeting Monday, Feb. 16, 2026 100 W. Taft St. Palmyra Village Hall meeting room 6:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by President Gorsegner at 6:00 pm. Roll call: Ball, Gorsegner, Petruska, Smith, Tucker, Wallace-present. Deichl-via TEAMS. Fire and Police Commission members were all present. Business 1. Approval of the Police & Fire Commission meeting minutes from Feb. 11, 2026- No minutes were on the table to approve. No action 2. You are hereby notified that the Police & Fire Commission and Village Board of the Village of Palmyra will meet on February 16, 2026, at the Palmyra Village Hall meeting room, 100 W. Taft St. at 6:00 p.m. At said time and place the Commission will convene into closed session. 3. After the meeting has been properly convened, the Chairperson and Village President will announce to all those present the purpose of the meeting and the fact that the Commission and Village Board intend to convene in closed session for the above-delineated purposes. Upon motion duly made and seconded and acted upon by the majority of the members present as required under §19.85(1)(a), Stats., the closed session will take place. 4. Petruska/Wallace motion to convene, upon passage of the proper motion, into Closed Session at 6:03 pm with staff, pursuant to §19.85(1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Specifically, a review of the Interim Police Chief and Public Safety Director’s position and possible action to address same. Roll call vote: Ball, Deichl, Gorsegner, Petruska, Smith, Tucker, Wallace-aye. Motion carried. 5. Petruska/Ball motion to reconvene into Open Session at 6:24 pm for purposes of potential additional discussion and/or action on matters discussed in closed session and adjournment. Roll call vote: Ball, Deichl, Gorsegner, Petruska, Smith, Tucker, Wallace-aye. Motion carried. Wallace/Smith motion to adjourn at 6:24 pm. All ayes-motion carried.
