MEETING MINUTES Village of Palmyra PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING Wednesday Feb. 26, 2025 Village Hall 100 W. Taft Street 6:00 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Petruska at 6:00 pm. Roll Call: Ball, Petruska, Tucker - present New Business 1. Discussion/possible action on the exterior building options for PFAS treatment plant. Scott Halbrucker is asking the Committee what style they would prefer. Brick or block and colors. The design needs it done before June when we apply for the grant. Brick is more expensive but more energy efficient. Scott is not sure of the roofing material, but he would prefer metal. Someone at MSA is helping us with the grant application. They are applying for 2 grants. Ball asked what the yearly cost is to maintain this. Halbrucker doesn’t have those numbers in front of him. Between $5 and $6 million total project cost. This building is approx. 1500 sq. ft. Committee members looked at some options Scott had given them. They like the two- tone brown unless it is more expensive. Jen says do one color if it’s more expensive to do 2 colors. Or other options they like are creams and earth tones. Scott will get prices on brick vs. block and roof information.
