PAPILLION CITY COUNCIL WORKING SESSION MINUTES TUESDAY, AUGUST 13, 2019 (aD- 6: 00 P. M. The City Council of the City of Papillion met in open and public session at the Papillion Police Department Community Room on August 13, 2019, at 6: 00 PM. City Clerk Nicole Brown called the roll. Present were Councilmembers Tom Mumgaard, Jim Glover, Gene Jaworski, Bob Stubbe, Steve Engberg, and Mayor David P. Black. Also present were City Administrator Christine Myers and Assistant City Administrator Amber Powers. Councilmembers Steve Sunde, Jason Gaines, and Lu Ann Kluch were absent. Mayor Black led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance. Affidavit of Publication:Notice of the meeting was given in the Papillion Times, the designated method of giving notice. A copy is available in the office of the City Clerk. Incorporated herein by reference as if fully set out herein is the audio and visual recording of the council meeting. Public announcement that a current copy of the open meeting act is posted in the Papillion Police Department Community Room. INTRODUCTIONS: Mayor Black provided background on the decision to engage an outside firm to assist in the development of a mission statement for the City. Lisa Bowen and Kelley Peterson from KidGlov introduced themselves. DISCUSSION: Mission Statement: Council members participated in a focus group discussion facilitated by KidGlov regarding various aspects of Papillion' s branding. CLOSING COMMENTS: Comments from Mayor and Council: Ms. Bowen and Ms. Peterson outlined next steps in their process for developing possible mission statements and tag lines. They stated that ultimately the City Council will select the final mission statement upon completion of the project. ADJOURNMENT: Motion to adjourn by Councilmember Stubbe, second by Councilmember Jaworski. Upon roll call vote, Mumgaard, Glover, Jaworski, Stubbe, and Engberg all voted yes. Voting no: none.
