A motion was made by Committee Member Tracey Melnyk that the Committee of the Whole meeting minutes of October 4, 2016 be adopted, as presented. The motion carried unanimously. General Manager, Corporate Services RFD 16-212 New Committees Proposed Motion The Committee recommends that Council provide three readings to Bylaw 2016-22 creating the Economic Diversification Committee, Community Sustainability Committee and Agricultural Service Board and dissolving certain existing committees. Arlan Delisle, Manager, Legal & Legislative Services/County Solicitor and Doug Tymchyshyn, Supervisor, Legislative & Administrative Services presented the New Committees presentation. A motion was made by Tracey Melnyk that a decision be deferred to later in this meeting. The motion carried unanimously. DELEGATIONS App 16-055 Public Input - 9:15 a.m. (10 mins.) Chairperson John McNab asked the gallery if there were any issues that the public wishes to bring to the attention of Parkland County. No one came forward. App 16-056 Appointment: 9:30 a.m. Evansburg/Drayton Valley RCMP Update (Staff Sergeant Brian Topham, Detachment Commander, Evansburg RCMP and Staff Sergeant Malcolm Calihoo, Detachment Commander, Drayton Valley RCMP ) Proposed Motion The RCMP update be received for information, as presented. Dave Cross, Interim General Manager of Community Services advised that Staff Sergeant Brian Topham, Detachment Commander of the Evansburg RCMP was unable to attend the meeting today. Staff Sergeant Malcolm Calihoo, Detachment Commander, Drayton Valley RCMP presented the Drayton Valley RCMP update. NEW BUSINESS General Manager, Community Services RFD 16-222 Community Services Division Update Proposed Motion(s) That the Community Services Division update be received for information, as presented. Dave Cross, Interim General Manager of Community Services gave an overview of Community Services which includes Agricultural Services, Emergency Communications Centre, Enforcement Services, Fire Services and Parks, Recreation and Culture. Mark Cardinal, Manager, Agricultural Services presented the Agricultural Services update. Karen Clark, Supervisor, Emergency Communications Services presented the Emergency Communications update. Randy Shermack, Supervisor, Bylaw Enforcement presented the Enforcement Services update. Brian Cornforth, Fire Chief presented the Fire Services update. Lenny Richer, Interim Manager, Community & Protective Services presented the Parks, Recreation & Culture update. A motion was made by Committee Member Darrell Hollands that the Community Services Update be received for information, as presented. The motion carried unanimously.
