CALL TO ORDER/TERRITORIAL LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Committee Chairperson Hoefsloot called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
On behalf of the Committee, Chairperson Hoefsloot offered the following
Treaty 6 lands acknowledgement:
We recognize that we are on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional lands of the Cree,
Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Dene and Nakota Sioux Nations. We acknowledge all the
First Nations, Metis and Inuit, whose footsteps have marked these lands for
centuries.

Committee Chairperson Hoefsloot asked the gallery if there were any issues
that the public wished to bring to the attention of Parkland County. No one
came forward.
CELEBRATING SUCCESS
On behalf of administration, Jody Hancock, Acting General Manager
Operations and Director, Engineering Services, highlighted the success of the
development of Parkland County's Storm Water Master Plan. Keith Bobey and
Melanie Markiwsky were recognized for their efforts managing the
development of the Storm Water Master Plan and their collaboration with many
stakeholders within Parkland County.

RFD 23-281 Notice of Motion - Regional Agricultural Master Plan Soil Classification
Mapping
Take notice that at the October 10, 2023 Council Meeting, Council Member
Kowalski will move:
That Administration be directed to adopt the Edmonton Metropolitan Regional
Board's work on the Regional Agricultural Master Plan by adopting the soil
classification mapping in Parkland County's statutory documents.

convene in closed session at 10:41 a.m. pursuant to Section 197 of the
Municipal Government Act to meet in private to discuss matters protected from
