SONOITA CREEK FLOOD and FLOW STUDY COMMITTEE MISSION: The watershed is a vital component of this community’s well being. The Sonoita Creek Flood and Flow Study Committee will (i) make recommendations to the Patagonia Town Council with respect to best practices within its jurisdiction to manage erosion, to enhance water ow, to create optimal ood mitigation and to promote the long-term health of the riparian corridor, (ii) look at the entire watershed area to in uence upstream conditions and to mitigate downstream consequences, and (iii) educate the public. Correction and/or Approval of Minutes from November 10, 2022 regular monthly meetings. 5. Call to Public A. R. S. §38-431-01(H): AT THIS TIME, ANY MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC IS ALLOWED TO ADDRESS THE TOWN COMMITTEE, SUBJECT TO REASONABLE TIME AND MANNER RESTRICTIONS. THE PUBLIC WILL ONLY BE RECOGNIZED TO SPEAK ON AGENDA ITEMS LISTED FOR PUBLIC INPUT PURSUANT TO TOWN CODE SECTION 2-5-6. Update on the Patagonia Regional Flood Control Project Feasibility Study. (Carolyn Shafer) 7. Update on the process for the ood control permit for South32 relative to the Cross Creek Connector road. (Carolyn Shafer and Bob Proctor) 8. Update on the University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center on the Town of Patagonia’s “Drought Response Planning for Water Resilient Communities.” (Howard Buchanan and Bob Proctor) 9. Update on working with the Coronado Forest Service to begin drafting Watershed Restoration Action Plans and a Forest Service remediation project at Mans eld Canyon. NEW BUSINESS fl fi fl fl fl 10.Report on upcoming work to be conducted by Tucson Audubon and partners, slated to begin this winter, on restoration projects along Sonoita Creek in town and into the TNC Preserve. (Howard Buchanan) 11.Presentation by South32 Tomas Goode on the publicly available South32 water reports and screen sharing to show ADWR well information as well as the Hermosa documents page. 12.Next Regular Monthly Meeting: January 12, 2023 at 10 a.m. 13. Future Agenda Items: The January agenda will include a discussion and possible action with respect to road permeability recommendations to the Planning & Development Committee. 14.
