CITY OF PELICAN RAPIDS COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES – 11-03-04 The City Council of Pelican Rapids met as required by state statute to canvas votes on Wednesday, 11-3-04, at 10:30 a.m., in Council Chambers, City Hall, 315 N. Broadway. Mayor Wayne Runningen, Council Members Ben Woessner and Denise Magnusson were present. Council Members John E. Waller and David Gottenborg were absent. Clerk-Treasurer Glenys Ehlert was also present. Meeting called to order by Mayor Runningen. Motion by Magnusson, seconded by Woessner to introduce the following resolution: WHEREAS, a record kept by the Judges of Election held 11-02-04, shows a total of 881 votes cast in the City Election, and WHEREAS, the tabulation of votes for the various official voted upon show a majority of the votes being cast for the following: Wayne Runningen, for the office of mayor with 772 votes; Richard E. Peterson, for the office of council member with 540 votes and David Gottenborg for the office of council member with 522 votes. Mayor Runningen, Council Members Woessner and Magnusson voted yes. No one voted no. Motion passed unanimously and resolution declared duly adopted. Meeting adjourned. Glenys Ehlert, CMC Clerk-Treasurer
