REGULAR MEETING AGENDA May 1, 2023 1. CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – 7:30 PM 2. PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS • It is requested that all persons wishing to speak before Council state their name for the record. In the interest of facilitating the business of Council, all persons addressing Council shall be limited to three (3) minutes unless such time is extended by the Council President for good cause. 7. Engineer’s Report Consideration of a motion to approve a $13,600.00 quote from Haines Paving and Landscape to complete pavement base repairs on selected areas of Rumpf Avenue as recommended by borough engineer. Consideration of a motion to authorize putting out for bid sealing Rumpf Avenue with the ultra-thin wearing course as recommended by borough engineer. f. Mayor’s Report 9. COMMITTEE BUSINESS: Information Technology: CourseVector Estimate: 10-15 hours –my estimate 15-20 hours leaving room for problems and changes. Option A. Use the 5.5 hours we currently have prior to July; use the 10 hours we get in July with reserve of $375 based on 20 hours. Option B. Use the 5.5 hours we currently have and contribute $1100.00 to the project. Option C. Do nothing. 1 of 3 Consideration of a motion to choose an option (Option A through C above) for website maintenance through Course Vector Civil Service Update of progress 10. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Tabled from 4/17/23 workshop meeting: Consideration of a motion to prepare Request for Proposals for the Borough Hall ADA Renovations Project Consideration of a motion to hire the law firm of Rudolph & Clarke LLC as special counsel for the 2024 trash contract at $185.00 per hour after committee review and completion. 11. PECO Payment Processing invoice dated 3/14/23 in the amount of $114.97 for traffic lights’ electric. Consideration of a motion to purchase a defibrillator from Axon Enterprise, Inc. for borough hall in the amount of $1,995.00 Consideration of a motion to authorize advertisement for a full-time police officer Consideration of a motion to appoint John Stratz as a voting delegate at the PSAB Annual Conference from 6/4/23 to 6/6/23 in Hershey, PA for the purpose of electing the Officers of the Association and voting on proposed resolutions and policies. 12.
