As such, public meetings may continue to be held remotely in accordance with Public Act (P.A.) 101-0640. The City is implementing the following changes and restrictions for the Special City Council Meeting on February 1, 2022 while complying with the spirit of the Open Meetings Act: A Special City Council Meeting will be held on February 1, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers. The Special City Council Meeting will be conducted with the members of the Council, Mayor, City Manager, Corporation Counsel, City Clerk, and Deputy City Clerk, and City staff present via Zoom. Due to the Special City Council Meeting being conducted via Zoom, the public is invited and strongly encouraged to watch through the YouTube live stream at https://www.youtube.com/user/cityofpeoriatv Members of the public can send their public comments to City Clerk, Stefanie Tarr by 2:00 p.m. on February 1, 2022. Public comments can be sent to the City Clerk, in writing, at starr@peoriagov .org or via fax at 309-494-8574. The email or fax should be labeled “Public Comment for February 1, 2022 Special City Council Meeting,” and we ask that you include your name and address. Citizens who would like to attend should email the City Clerk at starr@peoriagov .org by 2:00 p.m. on February 1, 2022 for a Zoom link to the Special City Council Meeting.
