Minutes Architectural Review Board Wednesday, February 13th, 2024 Multi-purpose, Petersburg Public Library 201 W. Washington St. 6:00 p.m. In attendance: Dino Lunsford, Bill Hartsock, Joe Yates, Joe Battiston, Larry Murphy, Celeste Wynn Certificates of Appropriateness: a. 119 Liberty Street; Poplar Lawn Historic District; Owner: SC-Maryland Ave. LLC; Applicant: Parmeet Soin Reconstruct collapsed middle addition. Larry Murphy motioned to approve middle addition based on the agreement with DHR. Louis Malon seconded the motion. b. 20 W Tabb; Courthouse Historic District; Owner: Tabb Street Development LLC; Applicant: Nathaniel Cuthbert Install signage, to include window decals, a wall mounted sign, and recreation of the marquis with signage above. Louis Malon motioned to approve the signs and their size; design is pending. Staff will review the design once resubmitted. c. 324 St Andrews; Poplar Lawn Historic District; Owner: Suzanne Wiggins; Applicant: Same Applicant proposed to change metal roof to asphalt shingle. Larry Murphy motioned to deny request; Joe Yates seconded that. d. 509 Plum Street; Old Towne Historic District; Owner: Carol and Henry Layden; Applicant: Carol Pond Lyndon Applicant applies to tear down existing rear porch with roof and construct a new one. Louis Malon motioned to approve; Celeste Wynn seconded. e. 117 S Jefferson; Poplar Historic District; Owner: JLH Partners LLC; Applicant: Owen Howlett Applicant applies for addition demolition. Joe Yates motioned to approve demolition of later half of addition, keep the old section for ARB to review. Louis Malon seconded. f. 29 Centre Hill Court; Centre Hill Historic District; Owner: Donatus Amaram; Applicant: Same  The applicant applies for wood siding to be replaced with Hardi plank. Stucco should be repaired. Keep wood siding on front. Louis Malon motioned to approve; Celeste Wynn seconded. g. 416 Third Street; Old Towne Historic District; Owner: Light Touch LLC; Applicant: Same Install storefronts on the side of the warehouse building.
