AGENDA SUMMARY- SPECIAL PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

Monday, October 3rd, 2022, 6:00pm
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Steve Bottkol, Vice Chairman Patrick Scott,
Commissioner Kyle Cornman, and Commissioner Jennifer Ochoa
ABSENT: Commissioner Jeremiah Bryant
STAFF PRESENT: Community Development Director Julie Steele and
City Secretary Morgan Clark
1. CALL TO ORDER- Chairman Steve Bottkol called the meeting to order at 6:00pm
2. ROLL CALL- City Secretary Morgan Clark called roll and a quorum was present.
3. CONSENT AGENDA- All items on the consent agenda are non-controversial and may be approved by
one motion for items.
A. Approval of minutes for the Regular Meeting on August 29th, 2022.
B. Approval of minutes for the Regular Meeting on September 12th, 2022.
Vice Chairman Patrick Scott made a motion to approve all items on the consent agenda.
Commissioner Kyle Cornman seconded that motion.

AYE: Chairman Steve Bottkol, Vice Chairman Patrick Scott, Commissioner Kyle Cornman, and
Commissioner Jennifer Ochoa
NAY: NONE
4. HEARING OF CITIZENS- Topics to include those items not listed in the agenda.
a. There was no hearing of citizens.
5. BUSINESS ITEMS:
A. Discussion, consideration and possible action on the final plat for Magnolia Meadows II.
A tract of land in the West Half (W/2) Of the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section Thirty-five (35),
Township Fourteen (14) North, Range Five (5) West of the Indian Meridian, Canadian County,
Oklahoma, more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at the Southwest Corner of
said Southeast Quarter (SE/4); Thence N 00˙14'10" W along the West line of said southeast
Quarter (SE/4), a distance of 1087.82 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; Thence continuing N
00˙74'10" W along the West line Of said Southeast Quarter (SE/4), a distance of 1565.48 feet to
the Northwest corner of said Southeast Quarter (SE/4); Thence N 89˙25'04" E along the North
line of said Southeast Quarter (SE/4), a distance of 1324.90 feet to the Northeast corner Of the
West Half (W/2) of said Southeast Quarter (SE/4); Thence S 00˙13'32" E along the East line of the
West Half (W/2) of said Southeast Quarter (SE/4), a distance of 1668.15 feet to the Northeast
corner Of the recorded plat Of Magnolia Meadows Phase l; Thence along the North line of the
recorded plat of Magnolia Meadows Phase I the following 9 courses: N 90˙00'00" W a distance of
328.94 feet; S 36˙03'51" W a distance of 198.48 feet; N 53˙36'09" W a distance of 285.00 feet; S
36˙03'51" W a distance of 5.74 feet; S 81˙03'51" W a distance of 35.36 feet; S 36˙03'51" W a
distance of 60.00 feet; N 53˙36'09" W a distance of 200.00 feet; S 36˙03'51" W a distance of 225.00
feet; N 53˙36'09" W a distance of 347.65 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Community Development Director, Julie Steele, introduced herself. She stated that the developer was great and
easy to work with. She also stated that everything looked good on our end with the progress and efforts to move
forward.
Commissioner Kyle Cornman made a motion to approve the final plat for Magnolia Meadows II. Vice
Chairman Patrick Scott seconded the motion.
VOTE WAS:
AYE: Chairman Steve Bottkol, Vice Chairman Patrick Scott,
Commissioner Kyle Cornman, and Commissioner Jennifer Ochoa
NAY: None
6. NEW BUSINESS
“New Business,” as used herein shall mean any matter not known about or which could not have been
reasonable foreseen prior to the time of posting. (25 O.S. 311 a9)

Kyle Cornman: Asked Julie Steele how the new position has been.
Patrick Scott: “It’s good to see everyone.”
Steve Bottkol: He welcomed Julie aboard the team. He also stated he looked forward to working with
her.
9. ADJOURN- Chairman Steve Bottkol adjourned the meeting at 6:06pm

2021. This agenda was posted at the Piedmont Civic Center – Front door, as of September 8, 2022. The above Agenda
was posted on the City of Piedmont Website as of September 8, 2022, at 5:00pm.

approve, conditionally approve, ratify, deny, defer, amend, strike or continue any agenda item. When more
