AGENDA SUMMARY- PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING George Fina Building 314 Edmond Rd Northwest Monday, June 3rd, 2024 at 6:00pm MEMBERS PRESENT: Vice Chairman Kyle Cornman, Commissioner James Fickes and Commissioner Brock Garrison ABSENT: Chairman Patrick Scott and Commissioner Jennifer Ochoa STAFF PRESENT: Community Development Director Julie Steele and City Attorney Daniel McClure 1. CALL TO ORDER- Vice Chairman Kyle Cornman called the meeting to order at 6:00pm 2. ROLL CALL- City Secretary Morgan Clark called roll and a quorum was present. 3. CONSENT AGENDA- All items on the consent agenda are non-controversial and may be approved by one motion for items. A. Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes on March 4th, 2024. Commissioner Brock Garrison made a motion to approve the meeting minutes from March 4th, 2024. Commissioner James Fickes seconded this motion. VOTE WAS: AYE: Vice Chairman Kyle Cornman, Commissioner James Fickes, and Commissioner Brock Garrison NAY: NONE 4. HEARING OF CITIZENS- Topics to include those items listed in the agenda. NONE 5. BUSINESS ITEMS- Vice Chairman Kyle Cornman opened and closed the public hearing without objection A. Discussion, consideration, and possible action on a Lot Split Application for the address of 204 Madison Ave NE. The legal description is as follows: Piedmont Original Town Lots 5-12, Block 55 The property owner has requested the above property be split into two (2) lots as follows: Piedmont Original Town Lots 5 - 8, Block 55 (Vacant Land) Piedmont Original Town Lots 9 – 12, Block 55 (204 Madison Ave NE) Commissioner Brock Garrison made a motion to approve Item 5A. Commissioner James Fickes seconded this motion. VOTE WAS: AYE: Commissioner Brock Garrison, Commissioner James Fickes, and Vice Chairman Kyle Cornman NAY: NONE B. Discussion, consideration, and possible action on an Administrative Zoning Application for vacant land on the Northwest corner of Morgan Rd NE and Arrowhead Rd NE from A-1 to RE. The legal description is as follows: Lot Seven (7), Block One (1), HIGHPOINT ESTATES, an Addition to Piedmont, Canadian County, Oklahoma (Vacant Land) Commissioner Brock Garrison made a motion to approve Item 5B. Commissioner James Fickes seconded this motion. VOTE WAS: AYE: Commissioner Brock Garrison, Commissioner James Fickes, and Vice Chairman Kyle Cornman NAY: NONE Vice Chairman Kyle Cornman opened and closed public hearing without objection. C. Discussion, consideration, and possible action on a Short Form Subdivision Application for the address of 2117 Moffat Rd NW. Less and except the South 33 feet which is reserved for road purposes. Derek and Amy Romberg-117 Morgan Road NE spoke against this rezone. Bryan and Elizabeth Starks-441 Morgan Road NE had concerns about the floodplain and spoke against this rezone. Nathan Bingham-3014 Brookstone Pass Drive Yukon, OK. He is the new owner of the North tract of land. Vice Chairman Kyle Cornman closed public hearing without objection. E. Discussion, consideration, and possible action on a zoning application for the following 56-acre lot on the Northeast corner of Morgan Road NE and Washington Ave E (also known as NW 164th Street). This is to rezone from A-1, General Agricultural District (5-acre lot minimum) to I-2, General Industrial District (2.5-acre lot minimum).
