MINUTES OF THE MANAGER’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE, HELD APRIL 21st, 2016 AT 7:08 IN THE TOWN COUNCIL CHAMBERS. Nicole called the meeting to order at 7:08 Present: Nicole Bratsch, Keala Bratsch, Caroline Goode, Natalie Campbell, Deborah James, Adam Gillihan, and Matthew Williams Item#1: Welcome and Attendance: All members present except Tanner Stewart and Dominic West. Evie Racette is no longer with the town. Item #2: Approval of Minutes: Keala Motions Natalie Seconds Item #3: New Recruits: For next year we will need: 2 upcoming juniors 1 upcoming sophomore 1 upcoming freshman Caroline will type up new application form - Jr High – ask for recommendations and drop off applications at front office - 2 meetings in may potentially to choose new recruits and “orientation meeting” - Announcements for HS - Applications need to be back by May 9th Item #4: Other Business: Future plans for MYAC - Quarterly report to town council - Lunch meetings over the summer? - Social media - Outdoor movies the 3rd Thursday of the summer months - Ideas for next Easter egg hung o Signs above crowds o Parents on the field o More volunteers (Adam??) - May 7 community wildfire preparedness day needs lots of volunteers - Community picnic will be next year… please ask if you know any groups who would be interested in participating - Fireworks will be Friday July 1st - MYAC possibly becoming involved in Arbor Day next year?
