Mayor's Youth Advisory Committee

MINUTES OF THE MANAGER’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE, HELD AUGUST 18TH, 2016 AT 7:05 IN THE TOWN COUNCIL CHAMBERS. Caroline called the meeting to order at 7:05 Present: Caroline Goode, Sydney Crain, Deborah James, Danny West, Bailee Babbitt, Keala Bratsch, Josiah Goode, Skyla Rigg, Keith Johnson, and Matthew Williams Item#1: Welcome and Attendance: All members present except Natalie Campbell. A special welcome to our new Town Manager, Keith Johnson. Item #2: Approval of June 23rd Minutes: Bailee Motions Sydney Seconds Item #3: New Meeting Time: Due to the new school schedule, we will be moving our meetings back to 6:50am. Item #4: MYAC in the Upcoming Year: We went over the purpose of MYAC and some of the things we have done in the past. Our new council positions are as follows: Chairperson: Keala Bratsch Vice Chairperson: Bailee Babbitt Secretary: Caroline Goode Historian/Public Relations Officer: Deborah James The vote to elect new officers was unanimous. We also addressed how we can become more involved in the town. We will be attending an upcoming town council meeting to be recognized in front of the town. Item #5: Projects: The movies in the park are still ongoing. September 24th will be Cool Running @ 7am. Trunk or Treat will have some variations this year. The Tree Lighting will be moved to the first Friday in December. Next meeting will be on September 8th. The meeting was adjourned at 7:31 DATED this 18th of August, 2016.
