MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE HELD ON
THURSDAY, MARCH 5, 2020 IN THE PINETOP-LAKESIDE TOWN
HALL LOCATED AT 325 W. WHITE MOUNTAIN BLVD.,
LAKESIDE, AZ 85929
A. Call to Order: Chairman Skyla Rigg called the meeting to order
At 7:03 a.m.
Pledge of Allegiance: Chairman Skyla led the Pledge of Allegiance.

The following members were present:

B. Minutes:
B.1 Vic Chair James moved to approve the following minutes:
Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting February 13, 2020
The motion was seconded by Member Quinton Lawler and was carried with a 9-0 voice
vote.
C. Old Business:
C.1 Discussion and Legal Action Regarding Kindness Campaign and Speakers.
The item was tabled for a later meeting due to the uncertainty of COVID-19.
C.2 Discussion and Update Regarding Training for Kindness Campaign
Counselors.
MYAC members are still interested but possible cancellation of training due to
COVID-19.
D. New Business
D.1 Discussion, Next Step for Anti-Bullying App STOPit.
The committee recommends further discussion and meeting with the sub-
committee and BRUSD officials to begin the process but there is unknown due to COVID-19.
D.2 Discussion Regarding Letters of Interest and Applications for MYAC
Members and New FY20-21 Members.
Recreation Coordinator Spillman reminded all members who are returning that they need
to write a letter of intent to return and give to Malaina prior to the end of April. Malaina also
asked each member to give out new member applications to peers that would make a good
addition to MYAC, applications are due April 30th. Malaina will email the applications to each
member as well as BRUSD school counselors.
D.3 Discussion, Update and Legal Action Regarding Upcoming Town Events:
Tillman Honor Run and Easter Egg Hunt.
Member Flake motioned to approve MYAC participation and bake sale at the Town
Easter Egg Hunt on April 11th, 2020.
The motion was seconded by Vice Chair James and was carried with a 9-0 voice vote.
E. Public Comments:
Chair Rigg called for public comments.
No Public Comments offered.
F. Adjournment:
There being no further business at this time, the meeting was adjourned at 7:33 a.m.
