MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE HELD ON THURSDAY, MARCH 18, 2021 IN THE PINETOP-LAKESIDE TOWN HALL LOCATED 325 W. WHITE MOUNTAIN BLVD., LAKESIDE, AZ 85929 A. Call to Order: Vice Chairwoman James called the meeting to order at 7:04 a.m. Pledge of Allegiance: Vice Chairwoman James led the Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call: The following members were present: Brindy Blake Member Anneliese Goode Historian Shayla Grzelak Secretary Rebekah James Chairwoman Quinton Lawler Treasurer Also present: Stephanie Irwin Mayor Malaina Spillman Assistant to Public Works Director B. Minutes: Member Lawler moved to approve the following minutes: B.1 Minutes of MYAC meeting held on February 11, 2021. The motion was seconded by Member Grzelak, and was carried with a 5-0 voice vote. C. Old Business: C.1 Discussion regarding Comfort Kits and assembly for Blue Ridge School. Malaina Spillman reminded the committee about helping Counselor Mrs. Montoya with “Comfort Kits”. Ideas included getting Blue Ridge High School’s NHS involved to help write comfort letters to add to the kits. D. New Business D.1 Review and Discussion of MYAC Bylaws. The committee reviewed all MYAC Bylaws and discussed minor changes. Malaina Spillman will add to the next agenda for legal action. D.2 Discussion on FY2020-2021 and FY2021-2022 Priorities and Goals. Each member had the opportunity to share possible goals for next year. The committee began to discuss priorities for next year as well. D.3 Discussion Regarding Recruitment of New FY2021-2022 MYAC Members. The committee discussed the possibilities of adding one or two more members. Packets are available for each current Member to send out for interested students. D.4 Discussion and Legal Action Regarding Upcoming Events, i.e., Easter Egg Hunt, Tillman Honor Run, Chili Cook-Off, White Mountain Balloon Festival. All event brochures were reviewed by Mayor Irwin. Committee Members are asked to help at events. Dates and times were discussed. No Legal Action taken. E. Public Comments: Chairwoman James called for public comments: None F.
