MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE HELD ON THURSDAY, MAY 13, 2021 IN THE PINETOP-LAKESIDE TOWN HALL LOCATED 325 W. WHITE MOUNTAIN BLVD., LAKESIDE, AZ 85929 A. Call to Order: Vice Chairman Rigg called the meeting to order at 7:06 a.m. Pledge of Allegiance: Vice Chairman Rigg led the Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call: Present Members: Anneliese Goode Historian Quinton Lawler Treasurer Landon Rigg Vice Chairman Parker Rigg Member Also Present: Stephanie Irwin Mayor Keith Johnson Town Manager Malaina Spillman Assistant to Public Works Director B. Minutes: Member Lawler moved to approve the following minutes: B.1 Minutes of MYAC meeting held on April 8, 2021. The motion was seconded by Member Goode, and was carried with a 4-0 voice vote. C. Old Business: C.1 Discussion Regarding Serving Lunch at Pinetop-Lakeside Senior Center on May 13th. Malaina reminded the members that they were scheduled to serve lunch at Pinetop- Lakeside Senior Center today and need to be there by 11:15am. D. New Business D.1 Interview, Discussion and Legal Action Regarding New MYAC members.  Members interview Grace Smithson, Morgan Eddy and River Rigg. Members asked if we could accepted all of the applicants. Malaina and Keith said that all applicants could be accepted because the bylaws allow for 9 members. After discussion and interviewing each applicant. Member Lawler moved to approved Grace Smithson, Morgan Eddy and River Rigg as 2021-2022 members of MYAC. The motion was seconded by member Goode and carried with a 4-0 voice vote. D.2 Discussion and Legal Action Regarding Fundraising at White Mountain Balloon Festival. Malaina passed around the example pin that would be sold at the White Mountain Balloon Festival June 25-26. Members were asked if they would be available and able to sell the pins for $5.00 as a fundraiser at the festival both Friday and Saturday nights. Malaina stated that at least 2 members would need to be there each night to sell the pins. Member Lawler moved to approve MYAC selling label pins at the White Mountain Balloon Festival on June 25th and June 26th. The motion was seconded by Member P. and carried with a 4-0 voice vote. D.3 Discussion and Legal Action Regarding MYAC Retreat and Summer Schedule. Malaina asked if the proposed dates of June 10, July 8 and August 12 worked with everyone’s summer schedule. Members Grzelak, Rigg and Good said they would be out of town. Keith Johnson proposed an alternate date of July 15 for the retreat. After discussion member Lawler moved to approve the proposed meeting dates of June 10, July 15 and August 12. Member Goode seconded the motion and carried with a 4-0 voice vote E. Public Comments: Vice Chairman Rigg called for public comments: None F. Adjournment: There being no further business at this time, the meeting was adjourned at 7:49 a.m. by Vice Chairman Rigg.
