MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE HELD ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 12, 2023 IN THE PINETOP-LAKESIDE TOWN HALL LOCATED 325 W. WHITE MOUNTAIN BLVD., LAKESIDE, AZ 85929 A. Call to Order: Chairman Rigg called the meeting to order at 7:04 a.m. Pledge of Allegiance: Chairman Rigg led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: The following members were present: Parker Rigg Chairman Morgan Eddy Vice Chairman Grace Smithson Treasurer Brooke Horne Secretary Sienna Grzelak Historian Rain Dimaliwat Member Jesse Stroup Member Joe Grzelak Member Also present: Malaina Spillman Assistant to the Public Works Director Stephanie Irwin Mayor Keith Johnson Town Manager B. Consent Agenda: B.1 Minutes of MYAC meeting held on December 10, 2022. Member Eddy moved to approve the following minutes: Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting December 10, 2022. The motion was seconded by Member J. Grzelak and carried unanimously with a 8-0 vote. C. New Business: C.1 Discussion regarding Comfort Kit Donation Drive and Assembly Assistance. Ms. Spillman will redecorate donation boxes. Boxes will be placed at the town hall and district office. On Thursday, January 19, MYAC members will meet at town hall to write letters for comfort kits. MYAC members should create a flyer promoting the drive and create a list of where the comfort kits donation drive location and take down  C.2 Review, Discussion and Legal Action Regarding Serving Lunch at White Mountain Community Center. Members J. Grzelak, S. Grezlak, and Smithson served lunch at the community center on December 22, 2022. There was positive feedback from the community. MYAC members will serve lunch on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 11 am. Member Rigg moved to approve the following: Approve MYAC members who are available on January 19th at 11am to assist in serving lunch and visiting with patrons at the White Mountain Community Center. The motion was seconded by S. Grzelak with and carried unanimously with a 8-0 vote. C.3 Discussion Regarding Goals, Priorities, and Projects. Member Eddy suggested to create a bulletin board at Blue Ridge HS honoring those who have passed. A possible title for the board is ‘United We Stand’. Possible BR family members to honor include Mr. Girrardi, Liam McGowen, Noah Brady, and Ashlei Smith. MYAC members Horne, J. Grzelak, Stroup, and Eddy volunteer to speak on the Birdman podcast to promote Blue Ridge’s 2023 musical, Footloose (April 13-15, 20-22), BR sports, and the comfort kits. Ms. Spillman suggest members to give a digital flyer for Footloose to Annie DeRosier. D. Public Comment: Member Horne shared a flyer promoting a suicide prevention workshop Ms. Montoya is holding at the BR Jr. High. F.
