MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE HELD ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2023 IN THE PINETOP-LAKESIDE TOWN HALL LOCATED 325 W. WHITE MOUNTAIN BLVD., LAKESIDE, AZ 85929 A. Call to Order: Chairwoman Smithson called the meeting to order at 7:07 a.m. Pledge of Allegiance: Chairwoman Smithson led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: Grace Smithson Chairman Jesse Stroup Vice Chairman Brooke Horne Secretary Jackson Woods Treasurer River Rigg Member Morgan Eddy Member Sienna Grzelak Member Josiah Grzelak Member Also present: Mackenzie Valichnac Deputy Town Clerk Stephanie Irwin Mayor Keith Johnson Town Manager B. Minutes: B.1 Minutes of MYAC Regular Meeting held on August 10, 2023. B.2 Minutes of MYAC Regular Meeting held on September 14, 2023. Member Rigg moved to approve the following minutes: Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting August 10, 2023. Mayors Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting September 14, 2023. The motion was seconded by Member Woods and carried unanimously with a 8-0 vote. C. New Business: C.1 Discussion and Legal Action regarding selecting items for the Sirens and Sleigh Bells bags. Members reviewed items for Sirens and Sleigh Bells. The final cost will be $504.  Member S. Grzelak moved to approve the following: Purchasing items for Sirens and Sleigh Bells care packages as discussed and use the funds that were donated from local businesses. The motion was seconded by member J. Grzelak and carried unanimously with a 8-0 vote. C.2 Discussion and Legal Action regarding selecting a date to pack the bags for Sirens and Sleigh Bells. Member Eddy moved to approve the following: MYAC members packing bags for Sirens and Sleigh Bells on November 29, 2023, at 7am The motion was seconded by member J. Grzelak and carried unanimously with a 8-0 vote. C.3 Review of upcoming events/projects including: the Nexus Coalition collaboration, Backpack Snacks, Comfort Kits, and Mayor’s Tree Lighting. Member Horne will collect comfort kit letters and give them to Ms. Montoya. She also will contact Principal Webb at the high school about the NEXUS partnership. S. Grzelak will design thank you cards for businesses who donate to Sirens and Sleigh Bells. Member Rigg will do a call to the public at the next town council meeting. MYAC members will volunteer on December 1, 2023, at the Christmas tree lighting. D. Public Comments: None. E.
