MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR’S YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE HELD ON THURSDAY, APRIL 11, 2024 IN THE PINETOP-LAKESIDE TOWN HALL LOCATED 325 W. WHITE MOUNTAIN BLVD., LAKESIDE, AZ 85929 A. Call to Order: Chairman Smithson called the meeting to order at 7:01 a.m. Pledge of Allegiance: Chairwoman Smithson led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: Grace Smithson Chairwoman Jesse Stroup Vice Chairwoman Brooke Horne Secretary Jackson Woods Treasurer Josiah Grzelak Member River Rigg Member Also present: Mackenzie Valichnac Deputy Town Clerk Stephanie Irwin Mayor Kristi Salskov Town Clerk B. Consent Agenda: B.1 Minutes of MYAC meeting held on March 21, 2024. Member Woods moved to approve the following minutes: Minutes of MYAC Regular Meeting held on March 21, 2024. The motion was seconded by Member Stroup and carried unanimously with a 6-0 vote. C. New Business: C.1 Interview, Discussion and Legal Action to Appoint New MYAC Members. Member Stroup moved to approve Adalen Cobb as a new MYAC Member for FY24-25. The motion was seconded by Member Rigg and carried unanimously with a 6-0 vote. Member Woods moved to approve Rocky Rigg as a new MYAC Member for FY24-25. The motion was seconded by member Stroup and carried unanimously with a 6-0 vote. Member Rigg moved to approve Kemp Smithson as a new MYAC Member for FY24-25. The motion was seconded by Member Grzelak and carried unanimously with a 6-0 vote.  C.2 Review Upcoming Dates The MYAC Regular meeting on the 9th will be held at Darbi’s Café, and new members are welcome. MYAC members should let Mackenzie know which days they are available over the summer so that most members can attend the MYAC retreat. Possible MYAC projects for next year include a collaboration with BR Elementary School along with continuing Backpack Snacks and Sirens & Sleigh Bells. MYAC members are encouraged to attend and volunteer at the Balloon Festival (June 21-23). C.3 Review Town Council Script MYAC members read the Town Council script in preparation for the Town Council meeting on April 18th, 2024. Members should arrive at the town hall at 5:40 pm. C.4 Work on presentation board/PowerPoint MYAC members need to send a description to Mackenzie about the slide assigned to them to put on the MYAC PowerPoint for the Town Council meeting. D.
