Commissioners Committee on the Fire Training Facility

Investigative Committee to the Fire Training Center May 2nd, 2024, held at the Fort Piqua Plaza 4 th floor. 5:30PM start time. Members: Nancy Roof Joseph Thompson Jerica Drapp David Roth Jim Roth Called to order by co-chairperson David Roth. Motion to accept minutes from the April 25 TH. All ayes. Nancy Roof presented ideas and asked for comments from both committee members and the public on a code of conduct to be used at each meeting. Some of the answers were: • Respectful of others. • Be honest. • be always professional, no personal comments. Question? How will we schedule interviews. Some solutions: • list of people we wish to interview. • List of sample questions. • Questions geared to the type of job that the person does. • How they were involved. How to handle public documents? Joe Thompson and Nancy Roof to be given all requests for public documents so that the same request is not asked for by multiple committee members. They will then forward that request to the proper person or department. Question: what if one member cannot attend a meeting, should we still hold the meeting? Yes, there will still be 4 members present. Please email all committee members to say that you will not be in attendance on date of that meeting. The committee now has an email address that be used and should be used to post information to each other. Trainingcommittee@Piqua.gov The public at this time was allowed to come forward to speak to the committee. There were several comments in which all stated they would be glad to hand over their information as it would take many hours to hear all the information.
