TOWN OF PITTSBORO BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS DATE SEPTEMBER 6, 2022 SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES PAGE 1 OF 1 TOWN OF PITTSBORO The Pittsboro Board of Commissioners met in Special Session on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 8:00am in the board room at Town Hall with Mayor Cindy Perry presiding. The meeting was called to order at 8:30 am. ELECTED TOWN OFFICIALS PRESENT: Mayor Cindy S. Perry, Commissioners John Bonitz, Jay Farrell, and Kyle Shipp. ELECTED TOWN OFFICIALS ABSENT: Mayor Pro Tern Pamela Baldwin, Commissioner Vose. TOWN STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Chris Kennedy, Town Clerk Carrie Bailey. Mr. Stephen Straus of Developmental Associates presented an overview with the Board on the steps in recruitment, screening and selection process for recommendation of a Town Manager candidate. Mr. Straus reviewed a timeline of the hiring process, the use of input sessions with Town Commissioners, Department Directors, Town Manager Chris Kennedy, Interim Town Manager Hazen Blodgett and outlined the screening procedures for potential candidates. Due to time constraints and lack of quorum after 9am, the Board decided to continue the recruitment presentation with Mr. Straus in a closed session at 5:30pm on Monday September 12, 2022. Commissioner Bonitz made a motion to recess and reschedule for 5:30pm on September 12th, seconded by Commissioner Shipp. Vote: Aye-3 Nay-0 Motion passed unanimously.
