TOWN OF PITTSBORO BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY 17, 2023 SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES PAGE 1 OF 1 TOWN OF PITTSBORO The Pittsboro Board of Commissioners met in Special Session on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 6:00pm at the Pittsboro Community House. ELECTED TOWN OFFICIALS PRESENT: Mayor Cindy S. Perry, Commissioners John Bonitz, Jay Farrell, Kyle Shipp, and James Vose . ELECTED TOWN OFFICIALS ABSENT: Mayor Pro Tern Pamela Baldwin. TOWN STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Jonathan Franklin, Public Information Officer/Emergency Management Coordinator Colby Sawyer and Town Clerk Carrie Bailey. The purpose of the session was for the "Governing Board" session of Citizen's Academy-PBO 101. Elected officials and Town staff introduced themselves and gave a brief overview of themselves, service history with the Town, leadership commitments and Town responsibilities. A small gift was presented to Colby Sawyer as a token of gratitude and humor for leading the seven (7) classes of Citizen's Academy-PBO 101. Further conversation commenced amongst the class participants, Mayor and Commissioners over a catered dinner. The following class participants were in attendance: Danielle Boggess, Stephanie Briggs, John Crowell, Heather Johnson, Davys Lenzi-Weisbecker, Emilio Massa, Larry Piezzo, Christine Shearin, Bev Sizemore, Ron Snyder, Barb Sost and Allen Wilson .
