Notes
● Call to order: 7:02pm
● Patti motioned for approval of February & April 2022 minutes; Bridgett seconded
● Katy confirmed Board will continue to meet monthly per all present; Josh requested
Google docs format for communicating among PARAB
● Knight Farm Park Dog Park: Katy will show the revised park rules signage when
available to PARAB
● Staffing of department: Katy advised the Supervisor and Program Coordinator
positions are posted. New software in review through October for Rentals/Activity
and will be cloud-based.
● Community House: Katy indicated $500k approved for building restoration. Bids
will go out after an interim town manager reviews. Josh recommended a ramp
versus elevator for ADA access. Current rentals of site will end October 1st with
completion of restoration by 2024. Katy will get 3-4 designs for PARAB to review.
● Tennis Courts: Katy confirmed $125k for tennis court replacement is approved;
pickleball lines will be added to courts.
● Lewis Freeman Historical Park: Katy has ordered 2 trash cans/4 picnic stands and
a sign for the site. Josh motioned PARAB approve this allocation of the funds, Linda
seconded. Vote was approved.
● Mary Holmes Park: Katy indicated plans for bathrooms on hold as park does not
have town sewer. Katy will ask Powell Place and also explore composting type
bathrooms.
● 50 acres from Chatham Park: Katy indicated the site is different than originally
proposed by Chatham Park, and will need $3million to regrade. A survey needs to
be completed by Dec 2022 or Town will not take acreage. Riparian buffer may not
make this conducive to a sports complex, and Katy indicated it could be a nature
preserve.
● Vineyards Pocket Park: Parking spots, signage, and outdoor furniture have been
ordered by Chatham Park.
