CITY OF PLACERVILLE
PLACERVILLE ECONOMIC ADVISORY COMMITTEE
FRIDAY, March 18, 2016, 12:00 P.M.
TOWN HALL, 549 MAIN STREET, PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA
1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was convened at 12:00 p.m. The Pledge
of Allegiance was recited.
2. ROLL CALL:
Members Present: Chair Brown, Vice Chair Miller, Payne, Kaiserman,
Meuser, Wager
Members Absent: Brent-Bumb
Staff Present: Rivas
Note: Members Payne and Wager left meeting at 12:40 p.m.
3. ADOPTION OF AGENDA:
Adoption of the Agenda was moved by Member Wager and seconded by
Member Payne. Motion carried 6-0.
4. ADOPTION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF January 15, 2016:
Adoption of the Minutes was moved by Member Miller, and seconded by
Member Payne. Member Wager abstained. Motion carried 5-0.
5. ITEMS OF INTEREST TO THE PUBLIC: None. (No members of the public
were present.)
6. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: None.
7. PRESENTATIONS: None.
8. DISCUSSION ITEMS:
A. Review of overall Economic Development Strategy and discussion of focus
for upcoming year. Mr. Rivas requested the Committee discuss and
prioritize which goals from the Placerville Economic Development Strategy
to focus on this year. After discussion among Committee Members,
consensus was established to focus on Goals 1, 4, and 6.
9. STAFF AND COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMUNICATIONS:
A. Update on Main Street Courthouse Reuse Blue Ribbon Committee:
Mr. Rivas gave an update on the status of the Blue Ribbon Committee and

the pending new Courthouse litigation.
B. Update on Main Street Project: Mr. Rivas updated the Committee on the
Main Street Project and the projected start date of April 3, 2016.
C. Update on Potential Hotel Development:
Mr. Rivas gave an update on the Hampton Inn Hotel Project.
10. ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA:
A. Request staff to give an update on Buxton analytics platform.
B. Invite the new Executive Director, Terry LeMoncheck, of the El Dorado Arts
Council to discuss their plans and goals and how to connect the arts to
economic development.
11. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned by Chair Brown at 1:20 p.m.
12. NEXT MEETING: April 15, 2016 Regular Meeting.
