Recreation and Parks Commission Meeting

CITY OF PLACERVILLE RECREATION & PARKS COMMISSION September 21, 2016 MINUTES PRESENT: Recreation & Parks Commission: Jerry Barton, Andrew Mathews, Peter Nolan, and Richard Zito. Recreation & Parks Staff: Steve Youel and Matt Lishman. ABSENT: Jackie Neau GUESTS: None ADOPTION OF AGENDA: Mr. Zito made the motion to approve the agenda. Mr. Barton seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mr. Mathews made the motion to approve the minutes of August 17, 2016. Mr. Barton seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT: None ACTION ITEMS: Adult Softball Fee’s: Commissioner Mathews recused himself from this item. Mr. Lishman requested that the commission support staff’s recommendations to: 1.) Revise the contract with Folsom Officials Association to provide officiating services for the 2017 City of Placerville Adult Softball Leagues 2.) Reduce league games from 60 minutes to 55 minutes and championship games from 70 minutes to 65 minutes 3.) Increase league registration fees $7.00 per team from $477.00 to $484.00. Mr. Zito made a motion to approve staff’s recommendation. Mr. Barton seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. STATUS REPORTS: Youth Assistance Fund: Mr. Lishman reported that there were 6 requests for funding in the amount of $255.00. We received $0.00 in donations and the projected fund balance is $4,711.07. Meeting adjourned at 6:15 pm.
