Recreation and Parks Commission Meeting

CITY OF PLACERVILLE RECREATION & PARKS COMMISSION October 16, 2019 MINUTES PRESENT: Recreation & Parks Commission: Jerry Barton, Kristin Becker, Andrew Mathews, Jackie Neau, Peter Nolan, and High School Representative Tiffany Brewster. Recreation & Parks Staff: Terry Zeller and Matt Lishman. ABSENT: None GUESTS: ADOPTION OF AGENDA: Mr. Barton made a motion to approve the agenda. Mr. Mathews seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mr. Nolan made a motion to approve the minutes of August 21, 2019. Mrs. Becker seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. WELCOME NEW COMMISSION MEMBER: Ms. Tiffany Brewster a high school representative was introduced and sworn in as a new Commission Member. PUBLIC COMMENT: None ACTION ITEMS: None STAFF REPORTS: Memo on Current Projects and Tasks: Mr. Zeller shared a list of tasks and projects with the Commission. The City now has an MOU with the Lighted Candle to clean up homeless camps. The City will provide a space to store a trailer and laundry supplies. This site will be on Bonanza Auto Lane which is out in the County. The City will be providing a pad and locked gate and in return the Lighted Candle will clean up the homeless camps. Mr. Barton brought up the fact many willow trees popped up by the trail and that Caltrans may have some funding as part of a post project. (Environmental Enhancement Mitigation.)
