Recreation and Parks Commission Meeting

CITY OF PLACERVILLE RECREATION & PARKS COMMISSION August 19, 2020 MINUTES PRESENT: Recreation & Parks Commission: Jerry Barton, Kristin Becker, Jackie Neau, and Peter Nolan. Recreation & Parks Staff: Terry Zeller and Matt Lishman. ABSENT: Andrew Mathews, and High School Representative Tiffany Brewster. GUESTS: ADOPTION OF AGENDA: Mrs. Becker made a motion to adopt the agenda. Mr. Barton seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mrs. Becker made a motion to approve the minutes of June 17, 2020. Mr. Barton seconded the motion. Motion approved unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT: None ACTION ITEMS: 2021 Gold Bug Park Fee Increase: Mr. Lishman reported that the minimum wage increase scheduled for January 1, 2021 will have a significant impact on Gold Bug Park. Staff is recommending a $1.00 increase to the Adult (Ages 18+) self-guided tour rate from $9.00 to $10.00 and a $1.00 increase to the Youth (Ages 6-17) self- guided tour rate from $5.00 to $6.00. Mrs. Becker made a motion to approve staff's recommendation. Mr. Barton 2nd the motion. Motion approved unanimously. STAFF REPORTS: Youth Assistance Fund: Mr. Lishman reported that since the last report there were 0 requests for funding. The projected fund balance is $4,215.77. Meeting adjourned at 6:20 pm
