CITY OF POCATELLO, IDAHO CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION CLARIFICATION WORKING LUNCH AUGUST 17, 2017 Mayor Brian Blad called the City Council Study Session Clarification Working Lunch to order at 1:05 p.m. Council members present were Heidi Adamson, Roger Bray, Steve Brown, Jim Johnston, Gary Moore and Michael L. Orr. Also in attendance was Ruth Whitworth, City Clerk. Discussion centered on items from the August 10, 2017 Study Session and enhancing certain recreational areas in keeping with the Council’s vision. No motions or decisions were made. General discussion regarding various concerns with Bannock County’s jail facility was shared. Mr. Bray was excused at 2:05 p.m. Council mentioned they would like more information from staff prior to a presentation being scheduled for a Study Session. Proposed City Employee Handbook – Council chose to delay adopting the new handbook until more discussion can take place. Discussion should include the introduction of policies for current employees and future employees. Billboard sign moratorium – instruct Planning staff to set a meeting date to discuss proposed changes to billboards in City Code and invite local sign companies to attend. Include comments received during the meeting as part of the information packet for Council. Mayor Blad adjourned the working lunch at 2:43 p.m. APPROVED: BRIAN C.
