The meeting began at11:51 AM
Herzog was selected to be the Acting Chair for this Work Session.
AGENDA ITEM #1: ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Jacquee Alvord, Ruta Casabianca, Donald Elston and Latecia Herzog.
EXCUSED: Elizabeth Fore. Josh Pohlman and Marty Vizcarra.
STAFF: Councilwoman Leeuwrik and Aceline McCulla.
** WORK SESSION **
THE BRADY CHAPEL CENTENNIAL CAMPAIGN PLAN
The Commission may wish to discuss and coordinate plans for funding & events.
• Discussion on grants, funding and 501(c)(3) information
McCulla spoke with Nick Nielsen, who stated that Sacred Places could not assist with the 501(c)3. He has
more research to do and no further progress has been made.
Herzog reached out to the AIA for assistance for the campaign's financial fundraising endeavors. Follow up by
the July 7 meeting.
• Event Planning:
o Art Walk: August 6, 2021
■ Myers-Anderson Lobby: HPC Open House
■ Whitman Lobby: Brady Chapel Campaign
The Art Walk would be discussed at this July 21 meeting.
o Summer Gala: August 26, 2021, 5-?pm
■ Make assignments of who will contact participants for the event (potential donors, sponsors)
■ Ensure all details of the events are accounted for and assignments are made as appropriate
McCulla went through the Gala check list of all items needing to be completed for the Gala stated
during previous meetings and to identify or update individuals assigned to each item and verify what
would be purchased or donated, any costs if not donated and decisions if the purchase should be made
for each item. The list will be emailed to the HPC members by July 15.
Herzog and Casabianca volunteered to be co-chairs for the Gala event.
Herzog lead the discussion on the invitation list. McCulla would send the list of prospective donors
discussed during this meeting and the current FY21 donors list to track the campaign donations taken
through AIA to Herzog for donor recognition purposes.
o Scavenger Hunt: October 9, 2021
■ Assign who will coordinate this event
■ Time for the event & consider food vendors, etc.
This item would be discussed at upcoming another meeting.
With not other business, Acting Chair Herzog closed the meeting at12:50 PM.
