BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY Regular Meeting DECEMBER 27, 2022 10:30 AM Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Lynch at 10:30 A.M. Members Present: Mayor Lynch, Joetta Collins, Jamie Lewis, Scott Williams, and Stephanie Young- Johnson. Also, present was Clerk-Treasurer Nina Rivas and Attorney Whitten. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING: Member Williams made a motion to approve December 13, 2022, minutes; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None. NEW BUSINESS: Special Event Request – Bacon Fest Member Williams made a motion to table the request; Member Collins seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays Abonmarche Contract Renewal Member Williams made a motion to table the permit application; Member Young-Johnson seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays Samuelson Insurance Contract Renewal Member Lewis made a motion to approve the contract renewal; Member Collins seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays Pet Shop License Renewals Member Williams made a motion to table the license renewals; Member Collins seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays BULK ITEM APPEALS: 5782 Houston Member Lewis made a motion overturn the bulk fee charge; Member Young-Johnson seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays CLAIMS: Member Williams made a motion to approve the claims; Member Collins seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays MAJOR ILLNESS CLAIMS: Member Lewis made a motion to approve four (4) Major Illness Claims; Member Young-Johnson seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 5 yes – 0 nays OTHER BUSINESS: ADJOURNMENT Mayor Lynch entertained a motion to adjourn.
