BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY Regular Meeting May 23, 2023 10:30 AM Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Lynch at 10:30 A.M. Members Present: Mayor Lynch, Jamie Lewis, Stephanie Young-Johnson, and Scott Williams. Also, present was Clerk-Treasurer Rivas and Attorney Dan Whitten. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING: Member Lewis made a motion to approve the May 9, 2023, minutes; Member Williams seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None. NEW BUSINESS: Tag Day Requests Portage Wrestling, May 27, 2023 Member Williams made a motion to approve the request; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the board. No action required. CLAIMS Member Williams made a motion to approve the claims in the amount of $1,358,377.87, with the addition of 2023 Durango invoices totaling $308,696.00; Member Lewis seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays MAJOR ILLNESS: Member Lewis made a motion to approve four (4) MI Claims; Member Young-Johnson seconded the motion. Mayor Lynch requested input from the Board. Motion passed. 4 yes – 0 nays OTHER BUSINESS: Bauer Farms – Sidewalk & Curb Waiver Attorney Whitten stated the city received a report from Abonmarche but needs further review.
