CITY OF PRAIRIE VIEW PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA Notice is hereby given of a Regular Meeting of the City of Prairie View Planning and Zoning Commission to be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at 5:30 P.M. at the Prairie View City Hall, 44500 Business Highway 290, Prairie View, Texas, for considering the following agenda items. The Planning and Zoning Commission reserves the right to meet in closed session on any agenda item should the need arise and if applicable, pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. Action, if any, will be taken in open session. Roll Call/Certify Quorum 3. Invocation Consent Agenda All matters listed under the Consent Agenda, are considered routine by the Commission and will be enacted by one motion. These items include preliminary and final plats, where staff has found compliance with all minimum subdivision regulations. All items approved by consent are approved with any and all staff recommendations. There will not be separate discussion of these items. If any Commissioner desires to discuss an item on the Consent Agenda, it will be moved to the Regular Agenda for further consideration. 4. Approval of Planning and Zoning Commission meeting minutes dated November 7, 2019. Page 1 of 3  Regular Agenda Items on the Consent Agenda may be pulled and moved to the regular agenda if the Commission requires discussion on an item(s). 5. A Discuss, consider, and/or take action for preparing of a map and performing a neighborhood housing analysis of the Prairie View Estates (Rosewood) per City Council request in reference to rezoning of property located at 738 Sharon Street During November 25, 2019 Meeting. 5. B Discuss, consider, and/or take action to revise the City's Official Zoning Map established by Chapter 14, Section 2.08 of the City's Code of Ordinances based on results the public of the Public Hearing November 7, 2019. 5. C Discuss, consider, and/or take action to review the City of Prairie View’s Comprehensive Plan proposed by the P & Z C with Plan proposed by the EDC- 4B to avoid any duplication efforts. 5. D Discuss, consider, and/or take action on Counselors’ legal opinion concerning P& Z’S consultant working for a Company that will be interested in bidding on the contract for the City of Prairie View’s Comprehensive Plan. 6. Items for Future Agendas: Commissioners may request items for future agendas at this time. Pursuant to section 551.042 of the Texas Open Meeting Act, any deliberation or decision about the future agenda items shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on the agenda for a subsequent meeting. 7. Executive Session: Convene into executive session with City Attorney, as allowed by Texas Government Code, section 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), to discuss legal matters associated with any of the agenda items identified herein. 8. Adjournment: The City of Prairie View Planning and Zoning Commission reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time while this meeting to discuss, as authorized by Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), Page 2 of 3 551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices), and 551.086 (Economic Development).
