Presentation, Discussion, and Possible action to hire Sharita Humphrey as a consultant to train local businesses in the City of Prairie View to apply for state and federal grants/loans(Lampkin) 12. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.0415, the Board of Directors, without having provided notice, may make reports about items of community interest if no action is taken and possible action is not discussed regarding the information provided in the report. “Items of community interest” include: (1) expressions of thanks, congratulations, or condolence; (2) information regarding holiday schedules; (3) an honorary or salutatory recognition of a public official, public employee, or other citizen, except that discussions regarding a change in the status of a person’s public office or public employment is not an honorary or salutatory recognition for purposes of the PVEDC; (4) a reminder about an upcoming event organized or sponsored by the governing body; (5) information regarding a social, ceremonial, or community event organized or sponsored by an entity other than the PVEDC that was attend or is scheduled to be attended by a member of the governing body or an official or employee of the PVEDC; and, (6) announcements involving an imminent threat to the public health and safety of people in the political subdivision that has arisen after the posting of the agenda ADJOURN Executive Session: The Prairie View Economic Development Corporation 4-B reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the course of the meeting to discuss any of the matters listed above, as authorized by Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices), 551.086 (Economic Development).
