Tourism Committee Meeting Minutes February 6th, 2024 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the Tourism Committee Meeting was held, February 6th, 2024, First National Bank,1151 North Canton Street, Prescott , Wisconsin 54021. The meeting was called to order at 12:00 PM Committee Present: Courtney Franklin, Jasmine Westland, Kimberly Baun, Chad Steger, Elizabeth Lansing Committee Absent: Melissa Bolle, Megan Langer, Todd London 1. Call to Order by Chad Steger 2. BeLocals Print ad was reviewed. The magazine will hit newsstands in March and will run with The Ports advertising one it and The Boat Club. 3. Committee reviewed the new Grant Submission for the Winterfest Ice Carving for Lucille’s, they are asking for $3400 to offset the cost of supplies needed for the event. Grant was reviewed and Elizabeth Lansing motioned to approve the Winterfest Ice Carving for Lucille’s submission. Courtney Franklin seconded; motion passed. 4. Committee reviewed the new Great Submission for The Port of Prescott’s Facebook Campaign to increase overnight stays at The Port, they are asking for $240 to offset the advertising costs. Grant was reviewed and Cortney Franklin motioned to approve The Port of Prescott’s Campaign. Elizabeth Lansing seconded; motion passed. 5. Committee reviewed the new Grant Submission for the Freedom Parks Music in the Park. We are going to ask that they focus more on the marketing and advertising for the event, in order to help them Cortney Franklin is going to go out and help them to resubmit their Submission. 6. Committee discussed and reviewed the postcard that Meraki drafted for the Open House Lunch and learn. Things that we discussed a. Adding a QR code to the postcard b. Added Lucille’s as the location c. Changed the time to 12-5 7. Discussed the Social Media initiative and looked briefly at the instagram and facebook pages. Discussed the different highlights we are trying to do for the businesses and community events. 8. Adjourn The next meeting will be Tuesday March 5th, 2024 at 12:00pm at First National Bank Board Room.
