Tourism Committee Meeting Minutes March 5th , 2024 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the Tourism Committee Meeting was held, March 5th 2024, First National Bank,1151 North Canton Street, Prescott , Wisconsin 54021. The meeting was called to order at 12:00 PM Committee Present: Courtney Franklin, Jasmine Westland, Chad Steger, Elizabeth Lansing, Megan Langer, Todd London Committee Absent: Melissa Bolle, Kimberly Braun 1. Call to Order by Chad Steger 2. Michael Bowman of Vision Source came and presented to the committee more information on the Health Fair that they put on in May. 3. Committee reviewed the new Grant Submission for the Prescott Health Fair. Grant was reviewed and Megan Langer motioned to approve that $1000 towards marketing will be given instead of the $6500 requested. Todd London seconded; motion passed (5-0) 4. Committee reviewed the revised Grant Submission for Freedom Parks Music in the Park. Grant was reviewed and Megan Langer motioned to approve Freedom Parks Music in the Park grant. Chad Steger seconded; motion passed. (5-0) 5. Committee Discussed the upcoming Tourism Committee Open House Lunch and Learn. The Pierce County tourism group will now be overlapping the Lunch and Learn to hopefully bring in more people to the event. Cortney and Jasmine will be going and meeting with different businesses the week before to get more interest in the event. A budget of $750 was set for the event with Pierce County Tourism Group will be covering their portion. 6. Discussed the Social Media initiative and looked briefly at the instagram and facebook pages. Discussed the different highlights we are trying to do for the businesses and community events. 7. Adjourn The next meeting will be Tuesday April 2nd, 2024 at 12:00pm at First National Bank Board Room.
