Tourism Committee Meeting Minutes April 2nd, 2024 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the Tourism Committee Meeting was held, March 5th 2024, First National Bank,1151 North Canton Street, Prescott , Wisconsin 54021. The meeting was called to order at 12:03 PM Committee Present: Kimberly Braun, Jasmine Westland, Chad Steger, Elizabeth Lansing, Megan Langer, Todd London Committee Absent: Elizabeth Lansing, Courtney Franklin 1. Call to Order by Megan Langer 2. March’s meeting minutes were approved. Chad Steger motioned to approve Megan Langer seconded; motion passed (4-0) 3. Recap of Open House Lunch and Learn a. Better turnout than the previous year, however in order to get the word out it is going to require all members going and meeting with different businesses and groups within the community and educating them on the Grant. b. If we were to do this again next year it is best to have the Lunch and Learn just be for the tourism Grant, although doing it with Pierce County helped to bring numbers in it didn’t really align well with educating the community specifically on the Grant. 4. Update on the Grants that were approved last month. a. The individuals that are overseeing the Health Fair seem to not be moving forward, therefore they will not be receiving the approved Grant amount allocated to them. b. Music in the Park- they have received their Grant funds and are working on getting music lined up and marketing material out. 5. Social Media initiative continues to show success. Jasmine continues to work with Kristin from Meraki on the different things posted and initiative that we want done. 6. BeLocal magazine advertisement next quarter ads need to be decided. In order to maintain complete fairness we are going to have Kristin do a social media post and let everyone know that is interested that they can advertise for the next quarter. Than the board will decide on who will get the next quarter advertising space. 7. Todd London went over the financials year to date. 8. It was communicated that the next meeting that Courtney Franklin and Jasmine Westland will not be present. Todd London will be in charge of minutes for that meeting 9. Adjourn The next meeting will be Tuesday May 7th, 2024 at 12:00pm at First National Bank Board Room.
