Adjournment 7.01 A motion to adjourn the meeting Page 1 of 3  MINUTES OF THE PULLMAN ARTS COMMISSION May 26, 2026 A Regular Meeting of the Pullman Arts Commission was held on May 26, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Leonard and Edna Young Conference Room at Neill Public Library. 1. Call to Order – Desiree Greystone called the meeting to order at 6:06 p.m. City Liaison Lori Lewis was present. 2. Agenda A. Roll Call Pullman Arts Commission: Desiree Greystone Chair Joanne Kim Commission Member David Schneider Commission Member Darryl Singleton Commission Member Vacant Commission Member Lori Lewis City Liaison Ariel Medeiros Assistant Planner Excused: Kira MacPherson Commission Member Unexcused: Mark Anderson Commission Member B. Commissioner Schneider motioned to approve the minutes of the April 28, 2026 Regular Meeting. Commissioner Singleton seconded the motion. Members voted and the minutes were approved as submitted. 3. Regular Business A. City Art Inventory/Site Plan – i. Commissioner Singleton asked if the access had been figured out, and Commissioner Schneider said that it had. So, Commissioner Singleton will try again, and reach out to Sam or Lori if not able to get in. ii. Commissioner Greystone asked all others to get out and started scanning art into the system. B. City Comprehensive Plan i. Ariel presented the comprehensive plan draft with Public Art as its own section in the plan. The content was drafted by the commission, and revised by Ariel and Commissioner MacPherson. ii. As the content was reviewed and discussed, small edits were made. iii. Ariel will send an updated clean copy which will go for public hearing in October and then to Council following the public hearings. C. Rotating Art Exhibit at City Hall Page 2 of 3  i. Commissioner Greystone is still working on the rubric for judging the art to determine which will be accepted. ii. She looked for the smaller art system, but could not find one. iii. Commissioner Singleton suggested a way to include performing arts in the art exhibit, using tablets with Bluetooth technology that will link so that you can hear musical performances, poetry readings, spoken word, etc. or listen to music while watching dance. D. Project Updates i. Commissioner Schneider is working on scouting locations for artwork. ii. Possible locations were discussed and the ownership of the land at each location was discussed. E. Next Meeting i. The next meeting will be Tuesday, June 30, 2026 @ 6:00 p.m. 4. New Business A. New Business from any member of the Pullman Arts Commission i. Pride Fest and Juneteenth are both coming up and Commissioner Greystone is working to create two pieces of community art that will be displayed then placed in the community. ii. The Greystone Gallery is open until July 11th with a display of amazing artist. iii. Commissioner Singleton reported that there will be a Juneteenth celebration on High Street at 5pm Friday, June 19th. B. New Business from any members of the public i. Ariel indicated that for America 250 they want to create a paper quilt to commemorate the event. 5. Adjournment: Commissioner Singleton moved to adjourn; Commissioner Schneider seconded the motion.
