The “New River ” City 10 Robertson St. July 3 , 2013 Radford, Virginia Meeting Number 1 of Radford City Council, F.Y. 2013-2014 The special meeting of the Radford City Council was convened at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 10 Robertson Street, Radford, VA. The Mayor of the City, Dr. Bruce Brown, was present and presiding. Other members of City Council present were Mr. Cox, Dr. Richard Harshberger, Mr. Keith Marshall, and Mr. Robert Nicholson III. Others present were as follows: Mr. David Ridpath, City Manager Ms. Melissa Skelton, City Clerk Mr. Basil Edwards, Economic Director The news media was represented by Radford News Journal and Roanoke Times. NEW BUSINESS SUBJECT: Consider amending the Memorandum of Understanding for Radford Chamber of Commerce SUMMARY: This amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding, which was approved by City Council on June 26, 2013, reflects the additional responsibilities that the Radford Chamber of Commerce will have oversight of the Radford Farmers Market and After Five concert series for this upcoming year. ACTION: Mr. Nicholson made a motion, seconded by Dr. Harshberger, to approve the amendment to the MOU for Radford Chamber of Commerce. VOTE: AYES: Mr. Cox, Dr. Harshberger, Mr. Marshall, Mr. Nicholson, Mayor Brown NAYES: None-0 NAYES: None-0 Mr. Marshall made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:00pm, seconded by Mr. Nicholson.
