NEWBOLD TOWN BOARD REGULAR and FINANCE MEETING

AGENDA
The Town of Newbold Town Board will meet for a Regular Town Board meeting at 6:00 p.m., on
Thursday, May 8, 2025, in open session at the Newbold Community Center, 4608 Apperson Drive,
Rhinelander, WI 54501, Oneida County, WI. The purposes of the meetings are as follows:
1) Call Town Board Meeting to order.
2) Pledge of allegiance. Verify Agenda Notice to the Public.
3) Approve agenda for meeting with the order of items at the Chairs discretion.
4) Public Comment and Communication Period per Wisconsin Statutes whereby the Town
Board may receive input on any matter raised by the public.
5) Approve prior Town Board meeting minutes of April 24, 2025.
6) Monthly Town Assessor Report by Jef Muelver, Town Assessor.
7) Discussion and action on Oneida County Zoning Requests, Plan Commission and Citizen
Zoning Request, if any along with Plan Commission Chairman’s Report.
a) Town Initial Tourist Rooming House Permit – Discussion and Action County Tourist Rooming
House permit application by Katy Slizewski, applicant, Carolyn and Steve Kamp, owners to
rent the dwelling as Tourist Rooming House for less than 30 consecutive days on the
following described property: Unit 9, Loon’s Landing Condominium 1st Addendum, Section
8, T9N, R8E, 6978 Pickerel Lake Road, PIN #NE 2445, Town of Newbold.
b) Town Initial Tourist Rooming House Permit – Discussion and Action County Tourist Rooming
House permit application by David Havel, applicant and owner to rent the lower level of the
dwelling as Tourist Rooming House that is within the #2 Single Family zoning district where
rentals of six (6) days or less are prohibited on the following described property: Part of the
NW SW and Part of Government Lot 7, Section 36, T37N, R8E, 1990 Larsen Drive, PIN NE-
404-10, Town of Newbold.
8) Discussion and action on awarding 2025 Road Project Bids and Additional 2025 Road
Projects.
9) Discussion and action on County Highway Dept. work on 2025 Road Projects.
10) Discussion and possible action on Speed Limit on Black Lake Road and surrounding roads.
11) Discussion and action on Appointment of Newbold Fire Chief.
12) Discussion and possible action on Tree Cutting Project Behind the Fire Department.
13) Discussion and possible action on Cemetery Maintenance.
14) Discussion and action on Town Facebook page records.
15) Discussion and action on Culvert #4, at Tom Doyle Creek.
16) FINANCE MEETING: Approval of any line-item Budget Transfers.
17) Approval of Bills and Disbursements and sign checks.
18) Receive Finance Reports and discuss any other financial matters.
19) Administrative review and action, if necessary, concerning general government, public
safety, recycling, sanitation, culture, education, job assignments, project updates, transportation,
budget items, fund transfers, and future agenda items.
20) Public Comment and Communication Period per Wisconsin Statutes whereby the Town
Board may receive input on any matter raised by the public. No action will be taken.
CLOSED SESSION:
The Town of Newbold Town Board may convene into Closed Session pursuant to Section 19.85 (1)
(c), of the Wis. Statutes for considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance
evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or
exercises responsibility. Specifically, to discuss Public Works Employee performance evaluations.
OPEN SESSION:
The Town of Newbold Town Board will reconvene into open session to make decisions on closed
session discussions above.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board, by majority vote, may invite public input prior to debate on any agenda item. Such
input, if allowed, will be closed prior to Board discussion/debate of the agenda item.
