ROLL CALL Present: Goodar, Greene, LaFore, Misteravich, Rix, Schultz, Yaroch Absent: None Others: City Manager Moore Visitors: Russell Eggli, Melissa Eggli, Dean Roberts, Katelyn Larese from The Voice APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Yaroch, seconded by LaFore, to approve the minutes of the January 13, 2014, quarterly roundtable, as presented. All yeas Motion passes PUBLIC HEARING None scheduled. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION 1. Consideration of Approving Resolution No. 2014-1 and the Request to Sell White Canes/Richmond Lions Club Motion by Yaroch, seconded by LaFore, to approve Resolution No. 2014-1, proclaiming the week of April 27th through May 3rd, 2014, as White Cane Week and the request received from the Richmond Lion’s club to conduct their White Cane Sale, at the intersections of Main/Division and County Line Road/St. Clair Highway on Friday, April 25th and Saturday, April 26th, 2014, from Dawn to Dusk; further, the Lion’s Club agrees that the volunteers will wear reflective vests to make them visible to motorists and utilize traffic cones; that the Lion’s Club agree not to be in the Main/Division intersection on Friday, April 25th, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; and further, that the Lion’s agree to sign a Liability Waiver. Consideration of DTE Light Removal Proposal Motion by LaFore, seconded by Yaroch, to amend the Fiscal Year 2014/2015 Budget by increasing line item 101-462-818.000, Capital Improvement, Contractual Services by $10,656.00. Discussion on motion: CCM: 02/03/2014 Page 2 of 4  APPROVED 02/17/2014 Yaroch – Glad to see this project getting done – in two years the City will recoup the cost of the removal. Rix – The Administration is checking with DTE to see if the remaining cobra lights can have the bulbs removed from them, since we have decorative lighting. Vote on motion: All yeas Motion passes Motion by Greene, seconded by Schultz, to approve the light removal agreement with DTE Energy for the removal of 22 street lights and 8 poles along Main Street south of Howard, and Gratiot Avenue From 31 Mile Road to County Line Road. All yeas Motion passes MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS FROM THE CITY MANAGER - We had four water main breaks this past week. Have arranged to have an additional dump truck the next two nights to help remove snow from the downtown areas. - CN Railroad has forwarded to us the sales contract for the railroad property, for our review. - The revised City Hall plans are on the table for Council to review. COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilors commended the DPW staff in their snow removal efforts. Schultz – Concerned with areas throughout the City where sidewalks are not getting cleared of snow. Rix – Has spoken with the City Manager regarding all of the areas that have not been cleared of snow.
