APPROVED 03/16/2015 REGULAR MEETING MINUTES MARCH 2, 2015 THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE RICHMOND CITY COUNCIL WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:00 P.M., ON MONDAY, MARCH 2, 2015, BY MAYOR RIX. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Council Members and the audience present stood for the Pledge of Allegiance and the Invocation. ROLL CALL Present: LaFore, Misteravich, Rix, Schultz, Yaroch Absent: Goodar, Greene Others: City Manager Moore, City Clerk Stagl Visitors: Fire Chief Steve Cooke, Cynthia Cooke, Meg LeDuc from the Voice APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion by Yaroch, seconded by LaFore, to approve the minutes of the February 16, 2015, regular meeting, as presented. All yeas Motion passes AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION None. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Motion by Yaroch, seconded by Misteravich, to adopt the agenda as presented. All yeas Motion passes CCM: 03/02/2015 Page 1 of 3 APPROVED 03/16/2015 CONSENT AGENDA a) Receive and File January 12, 2015, Library Board Meeting Minutes b) Receive and File January 28, 2015, TIFA Meeting Minutes c) Approval of Motion to excuse Councilor Goodar and Councilor Greene from tonight’s meeting d) Approval of FY2014-15 Budget Amendment e) Approval of February 26, 2015, Schedule of Bills in the amount of $367, 992.35 Motion by Schultz, seconded by Misteravich, to adopt the Consent Agenda as presented. All yeas Motion passes PUBLIC HEARING None scheduled. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION 1. Consideration of the Confirmation of the Fire Chief Motion by Schultz, seconded by LaFore, to confirm the appointment of Steve Cooke as Fire Chief for the City of Richmond in accordance with Section 7.13 of the City of Richmond Charter for a one-year term commencing on March 1, 2015 and expiring on March 1, 2016. All yeas Motion passes 2. Consideration of One-Time Payment to Non-Affiliated Personnel Motion by LaFore, seconded by Yaroch, to approve a one time payment of $750.00 for full time Non-Affiliated employees and $500.00 for Non-Affiliated non-seasonal part time employees regularly scheduled for more than 24 hours per week. All yeas Motion passes MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS FROM THE CITY MANAGER - TIFA awarded the Dow Street Project at their February meeting. - City Hall project is moving forward CCM: 03/02/2015 Page 2 of 3 APPROVED 03/16/2015 COUNCIL COMMENTS LaFore – Wrestlers won the State Championship – the wrestlers worked very hard to achieve this. Schultz – Commended the Richmond-Lenox EMS and Fire Department during his recent health issue. Rix – Reminder of upcoming calendar events: 3/3 – Recreation Board meeting at the Library at 7:00 pm 3/8 – Daylight savings time begins 3/10 – Cable Commission meeting at 7:00 pm 3/12 – BZA at 7:00 pm 3/12 – Planning Commission immediately following the BZA meeting 3/16 – Council meeting at 7:00 pm 3/21 – Historical Society Tea at Maniaci’s 3/28 – Easter Egg Scramble at 10:30 am CLOSED SESSION None.
